Little by little

Little by little
Lets move forward
Little by little
Lets make things right

But before everthing else
We must buckle up ourseleves
Learn to face the consequences without stumbling
For there is a never ending rollercoaster ride coming

Not all roads lead you to success
Sometimes we need to make our own pathway
Make our own guidelines and rules
By having our own style in making desicions

Making the right desicions
Can't happen all the time
Sometimes we strangled up
Or worse we end up having the wrong one

But this won't stop us
What is started must be done
There's no room for backing out
For this is just a part of life

28th Foundation day of ACT

     Field demonstration

Last september 2016, asianistas were gathered in ACT. It was to celebrate the 28th foundation day anniversary. It was also the day of our field demonstration. The theme given was "festival". So the music used were different songs from Cebu. All grade levels were performing gracefully and doing their best to make their performance nice.

Making performances like this is very hard. You need to go through many challenges to complete this stage. But we all made it and performed well. This was also one of the most challenging field demos we had. It is because two grade levels are combined to perform. So teamwork and cooperation were really needed. But despite of all the hardships, we all still had a good performance.

   Pardo Night of ACT

Fiesta is a traditional way of celebrating. It is a day where people gather and celebrates together. Last september 2016 the night after our field demonstration, pardo had a festival. People were busy doing things to make the day special. And our school, ACT even made the day more special for us asianistas. The administration were preparing a special stage for the students. The program was called "The Circle of Life"

Selected students from junior highschool and senior highschool were given a chance to perform in pardo church. They were all showcasing their talents and skills. But before they showed up on stage, they went through many practices and hardships. Yet many were wondering on what is the importance of this stage. Well in my opinion this was a very big help to the students. This performance was to boost the confidence of the students. Not all of us have the courage to go up on stage and perform. But these students surpass all the obstacles and made it to success.

The Gift of the Magi (a parody)

It was christmas eve and Della was counting her money. She keeps on recounting them but still one dollar and eighty-seven cents. She really wanted to buy her husband, Jim a gift but her money wasn't enough. Then she thought of a bright idea. She went outside and sold her hair. The lady examined her hair on how much will it cost. It was 20 dollars. With no doubt, she let her hair be cut. When she had the money she bought the gold watch that Jim wanted. She then went back home.

Few hours later Jim arrived. She was really worried on what will be Jim's reaction. When Jim found out he was just staring at her. Before Jim can speak Della explained to him. He was really shocked. Then suprisingly Jim took off his hair, wait no it was a wig! Della was also shocked and had nothing to say. Jim said to her that he really bald. He also sold his hair for their expenses everyday. Now the couple were the same. Silence took over, then suddenly they both laughed. It was because they realized that they look so funny. When they stopped laughing they thought that it wouldn't be nice if they will be like that on christmas day. So they went to the magi and asked them for help. Unfortunately the magi were really not real. They were just group of men that played a role on a carnival. They were laughing because a young man and woman believed in them. While they were laughing the couple was worried. When the magi realized they stopped laughing. They felt bad on what they did. It was really hard for Della and Jim. So they, the magi just gave them a piece of advice. They said that it really doesn't matter on what you will look on christmas, what matters is you are with the person you want. The couple were inspired with them so they thanked them. On christmas day they were celebrating together happily.

How to win a jingle competition

A jingle competition, it is when two or more groups are competing where in they are using a certain theme. Either it is a capella or accompanied by an instrument, mostly a beatbox. This is a way of celebrating big events like nutrition month and etc. Programs like this are usually held in schools and performed by students. This has already become a tradition in some schools.

In performing this you should make songs or chants that fits on the theme. Alsoair it with a choreography to make it more fun. Costumes and props are
also adviseable. The group should have a control on their voices. Not too loud and not too fast, it should be normal and can be heard. With that the judges and audience will already be impressed.
Not only that, the group should also work as a team. They should have teamwork and cooperation. When you make a mistake on the final performance, you shouldn't worry but to continue on what you are doing. Just give the best shot you could have.

Apparently, the main goal in this is not to win but to have fun. When you think you and your team did well, you can be declared as winners. If you lose, learn acceptance and if you win have sportsmanship. This is not really a big matter to worry about. All you need to do is to be in the best
